Nebbiolo 100%
The grapes used in the production come from the finest vineyards of Vezza d’Alba and Castellinaldo.
Low Guyot system on a hill with a favorable incline and terrain that is prevalently calcareous and clayey with whitish marl.
After manual harvesting, the grapes are transported to the winery the same day so that they are in excellent condition when they are vinified. Following soft pressing and destalking, the must is fermented in small temperature-controlled tanks at 28°- 30° C. (81-82° F.).
No aging is required by the production code. Langhe Nebbiolo expresses its finest characteristics in its early years. However, as it is cultivated on a terrain which is suitable for Nebbiolo d’Alba it has a great structure and, if stored in the right condition, it could maintain its characteristics for some years.
Intense ruby-red color with lilac shadings. The odor is fresh and particularly fruity with scents of almonds. The flavor is dry, agreeably balanced due to the low level of acidity and velvety with a typically bitterish aftertaste that recalls the olfactory sensations.
A classic wine for the whole meal, it is a fine accompaniment for appetizers and introductory and main-course dishes that are not too imposing.
